The British can already use a “plastic" road

Great Britain is one of a few countries that have first built a plastic road. According to the company, this road is 60% stronger than asphalt.

Moreover, it is a dozen times more durable than a customary road cover. The cover mixture with recycled plastic was developed by the Scottish company MacRebur.

They have laid the first in the UK road made of plastic that is located in Cumbria County.

Naturally, the developer company does not shed light on the exact components of the mixture, but they state that bitumen was replaced by the recycled plastic in it and these small granules now solidify the surface instead of bitumen.
